8-25-2014 Acts 26:30-32
S. 30
And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice,
and they that sat with them. 31 And when they were gone aside, they talked
between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of
bonds.32 Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at
liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
O. This
trial comes to an end. Paul is declared innocent but his freedom is denied
because of his appeal to be judged before Caesar.
A. We
are made innocent (from sin) by the cross of Christ but we must live as an
example and be judged in the court of daily life. We must speak and walk in the
likeness of Jesus that the court may see God’s glory in us.
P. Father;
May my life be a testimony of your love and forgiveness today. I submit myself
to your will for this day, that the world may see Jesus instead of me. Amen.
