Learn.....Apply

Learning is of no advantage until it is applied. I will keep on learning for learning must never stop. I will keep applying what I learn......applying always leads to more learning. Quite a beautiful cycle, don't you think. So many people "learn"about Jesus but never apply their learning.....and the learning is wasted. Come to church tomorrow and let's learn together AND apply what we learn.......we can practice on each other before we take it to the world.

8-29-2015      Luke 10:7

S.       7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

O.      Simple instructions for day to day living for the disciples while laboring in the field.

A.      A simple straight forward life is the best for the Christian. Our supply may come as a gift or by our labor. Our goal is to learn to be satisfied.

P.       Father; help me to keep my eyes on you instead of the “things” of this world. Teach me how to be satisfied with what I have. Amen.

deep hurt

Praying for a Brother today that has a deep hurt. Asking God to lift him past this pain and set him free. He has carried this for many years and it effects every area of his life. He has a wall built around him and he keeps everyone out, even God. My heart breaks for this man, he is alone, in fear and knows little comfort or peace. God; please hear my plea; set my brother free and love him through me. Show him that the lie he is hearing is from satan (I never use a capital for satan), the father of all deception. Amen.

1-5-2015         Romans 1:25-32

S.       25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

O.      These sins are unto death. No person active in these sins will be considered holy, righteous or a child of God. God calls them “reprobate”.

A.      This list of sins describes common practices of everyday America. I must warn as many as I can of the possibility of being condemned by God. Man must come to the place where he hates sin, all sin and especially sexual sin. The love of God is the only way of being set free from these sins. Please Lord; show the world your love through me.

P.       Father in Heaven; reach out to the people trapped in sexual sin and show them a way out, a path of deliverance, a holy and pure standing in your eyes. Keep me from being judgmental, hard or self-righteous when ministering to these deceived individuals. Amen.

Martyrs

Christians are being killed, displaced and sold into slavery by Islamic criminals and the world is simply watching. Are we back in the Roman Coliseum? Have we become so desensitized by the bashing of Christians that happens every day in American politics, television and media that we really don't care? Where is the outrage, the sympathy, the justice or the protection? Wake up, repent, and speak out and let the president and congress know.......one life is just as important as another. If these crimes were being committed on homosexual people or black people the full might of the World would be brought to bear.......and it would be stopped. What hypocrisy!

9-21-2014           Mark 2:20-22

S.       20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.21 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.

O.      All things must become new……to hold and keep the blessings of God!

A.      I must be a new man, not patched or recycled. Only God can make me into a new man as I surrender and obey his law and love.

P.       Father; thank you for inviting me into your family, for adopting me, for seeing in me something of worth that you could desire. I am yours, now, and forever. Amen.
