11-19-2014 Mark 10-13-16
S. 13
And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his
disciples rebuked those that brought them. 14 But when Jesus saw it, he was
much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto
me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 15 Verily I say
unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he
shall not enter therein. 16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon
them, and blessed them.
O. Jesus
uses children to teach a special lesson; we should come before God with the
faith and love of a child, if we don’t learn this truth we are unworthy of the
Kingdom of God.
A. A
child is pure, trusting, non-judgmental, curious, faithful, joyous and loving.
These are to be my attributes. I can’t attain these qualities alone, I must
have God’s help. With that help I will press towards the goal.
P. Father;
these words shake me to my very foundation because I realize how far short I
fall. I seek your mercy and grace to help me to be reborn, totally made new, in
a childlike faith. I surrender all that I am and ask to be remodeled into the
image of Jesus. Amen.
