Every Person has FAITH!

One fourth of 2015 is in the books. This has been a very hard year in many ways. Still ashamed of the man in the white house and all the folks in congress. This economy boom has missed everybody I know. Our family has lost several loved ones and I am still overweight. I am glad that my faith has not changed. I might be missing me some of my wants ..... But .... ALL of my needs have arrived on time and in good condition. Look to God my friend. He is the WAY, TRUTH AND THE LIFE!

3-31-2015      Romans 12:19-21

S.       19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

O.      This is how Christians are to treat bad people.

A.      This is not normal thinking or actions in American society. I was not raised to be passive. I must have a change of heart and mind to accomplish this type of faith.

P.       Father; create in me this type of spirit and may it shine out of me to those around me. Amen.

Fifth Sunday Singing

Fifth Sunday Singing was a real delight. Tolar is a community filled with talented singers and musicians and last night they sang and played down the glory of God. There was sweet fellowship, joyous laughter and holy uplifting. I am thankful that God has planted us here.

S.       16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. 17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

O.      Proper relationships.

A.      My faith in God must be evident in every relationship. I will seek peace in every relationship.

P.       Father; May I be an extension of your love in my earthly relationships. Amen.

Sinner or Saint.......It's up yo you.

When you give your sin to God you become a Christian. At that point you belong to God! You are NOT your own, you have traded your selfish, sinful self in and are ready to be transformed. So many people want to be Christians and sinners at the same time. This is not possible! Good and bad can't flow from the same source. This is passion week......the week that Jesus went to the cross. He did not go through all that pain and death so that you could keep sinning........He wants you to be free.

3-29-2015      Romans 12:12-15

S.       12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; 13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. 14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. 15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

O.      Be mindful of those around you and treat them well.

A.      Meeting the needs of others is just as important as meeting your own needs. I will be aware of these needs and meet every one I can.

P.       Father; spend me for the needs of those around me. May you receive all the glory and praise! Amen.

Save Some For SUNDAY!

The week-end is here. Time to get the work done around the house, wash the car and visit friends and family. Busy, busy, busy ...... REMEMBER .... Save some for SUNDAY!

O.      Be honest and hardworking with spiritual sincerity.

A.      I will be spiritually minded as I do my work. My word will be as good as a written contract.

P.       Father; show me the pattern for holy living from your word. Speak to me by your Holy Spirit and reveal any weakness or sin within me. Amen.

His return may be today.

Are you ready? Are you watching? Jesus is closer than anyone can imagine! You have seen these words many times and nothing has happened, so, you keep going along just as always. You don't believe that it will ever happen .... but it will. Start living like you believe he will come today ... each day will be a testimony of faith.

S.       9Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.10Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

O.      How we must treat each other.

A.      Love is my guiding factor in how I treat others. I will treat others the way I want to be treated.

P.       Father; Fill me with love and teach me how to give that love to others. Amen.

Healing Faith

I think my "believer" is out of whack. I am seeking for faith that will move mountains .... the real thing .... first church, blind eye opening, leprosy destroying, demon chasing .... FAITH! Pray for me to find it.

3-26-2015      Romans 12:6-8

S.       6Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

O.      How to use a gifting.

A.      The gift within me is from the Lord and I will minister (use) the gift in a holy manner. I will remember that the gift is to benefit the body of Christ.

P.       Father; use me Lord to win souls, encourage Saints and bless all I contact. Fill me with the oil of gladness as I praise you. Amen.

THINKING

Why do we focus more on people than God? If someone says the wrong thing to us we become angry even when we know that they are not properly informed. We worry about what others think of us and how we will be received. I am praying for a lady that thinks the whole world hates her. She never has peace. Please God, teach her to look at you instead of those around her. Teach her to bring her thoughts into alignment with your Holy Word. Amen

3-24-2015      Romans 12:3

S.       3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

O.      Man must think of himself in the proper manner.

A.      I am not above others in any form. All are created in the image of God. I must guard against conceit and arrogance. I will be the man God would have me to be.

P.       Father; open my eyes to the evil of conceit and arrogance and keep me from that trap. Amen.

3-25-2015      Romans 12:4-5

S.       4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

O.      All believers are of one body.

A.      The goal is unity with each person filling their respective place. I will seek to live the second great command; love thy neighbor.

P.       Father; Show me how to fill my place in this world and support those around me with love and understanding. Amen.

Praying for.......

It is a joy to pray for the people of God. I pray for Israel. I pray for Tanzania. I pray for Elm Grove and all her sister churches. I pray for peace and lost souls. I pray for the back-slid-den and the lost. Our Lord is soon to return. He will catch up his children that are ready and watching. My desire is to see all my friends at that meeting in the air.

3-23-2015      Romans 12:1-2

S.       1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

O.      The body must be brought into subjection and man must not conform to sinful practices.

A.      I will give myself to God, body, soul and spirit (heart & soul) without reservation. I will abandon sin and be led by the law of God and the Holy Spirit. I am no longer my own; I belong to God and I love him.

P.       Father; seal me safely into your family thru the blood of Jesus. Guide my steps into holy joy. Amen. 

Jesus is coming!

It is impossible to be prepared for everything life brings our way. Talking with a friend one day and he is gone the next. Sending anniversary congratulations to friends and getting them back by return mail. Trying to order on line from my favorite auto supply house and finding them out of business. Reporting for work on Monday morning and finding the doors locked. I know that I can't be ready for all these problems but that is because I can't see them coming. I am ready for what I see ahead. When I see the shape this world is in I shutter. Not the war, or economy, or politics but the people who are not ready for the return of Jesus. He is coming. It may be today. Are you ready?

3-22-2015      Romans 11:33-36

S.       33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been his counsellor? 35 Or who hath first given to him and it shall be recompensed unto him again? 36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory forever. Amen.

O.      God is the true source of all things and does not need man to teach him.

A.      God is my source/supply and I surrender myself, body, mind, spirit and soul as his servant.

    P.       Father; I praise your Holiness, perfection and Love. Thank you for calling me out of sin and          forgiving me. I sing a song of joy to your name. Amen. 

Revival

I want to see a revival, like spring coming after winter, showing forth from within and producing fruit. I will believe and I will receive ....... Full measure, pressed down and shaken together ..... I ask; in Jesus' name. Amen.

S.       28As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.29For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.30For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.32For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

O.      God has gifts and callings for all and his way is Holy.

A.      My great challenge is to learn the ways of God for my Life and then obey them.

    P.       Father; I am your child and desire to please you in every way. Speak to me clearly as I ask                for your direction. Amen. 

Worshiping God

What do we fill our time with? Jobs, school, family, sports,TV and many more Things use up our time. What about God? How much time do you focus on Him? I have come to realize that I need to give more time to God. I give a great deal of time to my church, to my family and friends, to watching TV and keeping life together but very little to God. Worship and praise are my best offerings of time to God. I will double my effort to worship and praise!

3-20-2015      Romans 11:22-27

S.       22Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.23And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.24For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?25For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

O.      God has a plan to re-graft the Jews who believe that Jesus is the Messiah.

A.      I must do all that I can to encourage back-sliders to return to Jesus and be re-grafted into the faith.

P.       Father; fill me to the fullest with your Holy Spirit that I may be led in this ministry. Keep me pure from wrong, judgmental ideas and flow your love through me. Amen. 

Not All That Say: Lord, will enter!

God is preparing his church for the last call. We must gather the lost, back-slid-den, cold, indifferent and religiously stifled while there is still time. Reach out and offer a loving hand while there is still time.

3-19-2015      Romans 11:17-21

S.       17And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;18Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.19Thou wilt say then, the branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.20Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

O.      All believers must remain attached to the root. The root is Jesus.

A.      I must remember that my faith is to be rooted in Jesus, not religion, tradition or habit.

    P.     Father; I will focus my life and conduct around the example that Jesus left for me. Give me                 understanding, wisdom and strength to accomplish this Holy goal. Amen. 

CHANGE

Does change ever slow down? It seems like things are changing at a break-neck speed. Just as I learn how to use the remote the company sends me a new receiver. Just when I learn how to use my phone it breaks and I need  new one. Lord, Please help me keep up!

3-18-2015      Romans 11:9-16

S.       9And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:10Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.11I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.12Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?13For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:14If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.15For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?16For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

O.      God uses riches to humble the Jews by moving their wealth to Gentiles.

A.      I am debtor to all the generations before me for I have much gain from their efforts. I learn from their examples, pick fruit from trees they planted and enjoy their invention.

P.       Father; May I leave a legacy for the next generation. May a part of that legacy be my love for your people? Amen. 

Jubilee!

Projects are all behind schedule. Each day puts me farther and farther behind. I will declare a Jubilee, throw out the list and begin again. If you are waiting on me then we need to talk.

3-17-2015      Romans 11:6-8

S.       And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.7What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded 8(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

O.      The law equals works and Grace equals faith so the Jews needed to believe that Jesus was the way to Grace.

A.      I must base my faith in Jesus and not in legalistic works. Because of this abiding faith I will do many works and these works will bring glory to God, but these works cannot save me.

P.       Father; lead my life by your Holy Spirit and constantly communicate your will to me. Amen. 

Lost Christians?

I am ashamed of people that call themselves Christian and use a vocabulary from the gutter. God will hold us accountable for EVERY WORD that comes from our mouth. Don't these people understand? Don't they know that those words are from their heart? If their heart is filled with sinful, vulgar trash they have no part of Christ. Sweet and sour cannot flow from the same fountain. Hear my plea, clean your heart, and let your words be pleasing to God. I am not judging you, the word of God IS! Please, please, please my dear friends; Sanctify your hearts, wash your hands and live as an example of Grace.

3-16-2015      Romans 11:1-5

S.       1I say then, hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.2God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Know ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? How he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, 3Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.4But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.5Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

O.      God has not cast away all Jews. God has a remnant, saved by Grace.

A.      God will cast away all sinners, all sinners no matter their tribe, nation or kindred, for only grace received through Christ will justify.

P.       Father; forgive my sin, wash me clean. I set my affection on you, to please you in all ways. Keep me always before your throne. Amen.

Covenant People

Good Sunday morning. Ready for a glorious day of worship, fellowship and the miraculous hand of God at work in my life. The older I get the more I appreciate the time gathered together with the Saints at church services. This past week was full sickness, pain and confusion, but, as soon as I step through the door of the meeting hall I will forget the difficulties, join in the worship and allow God to renew my soul, mind and heart. I am excited about Sunday!

3-15-2015      Romans 10: 20-21

S.       20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. 21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

O.      God claims other nations because of Israel’s disobedience.

A.      I must be obedient to God’s Word. Obedient, obedient, obedient!

P.       Father; Show me myself as you see me. Reveal anything that is displeasing to you. Amen.

Vulgar words are SIN!

God tells us that we will be held accountable for every word that comes out of our mouth. We can speak blessing, or curses, into our lives. God also gives us a list of things to think about as we go through life. The words that come out of our mouth start in our heart. If our words are vulgar then our heart is vulgar. If our words are base, carnal or sinful then that is the condition of the heart. Jesus will not live in an unclean heart. Based on the words spewing from "so called" Christians there is a break-down in their understanding of God.  Many people who think that they are Christian are deceived.

3-14-2015      Romans 10:18-19

S.       18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

O.      God warns Israel that other nations will respond to his blessings.

A.      I must respond to the news God shares with me in every area of my life. Nothing should be held back.

P.       Father; I give to you my everything and my all. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Amen. 

Praying for others.

Praying for my friend Warren today. He is having eye surgery. Dear God; cover Warren with your Grace and Mercy. Guide the hands of the Surgeon, Bring healing to his wounded eye. Amen.

3-12-2015      Romans 10:14-15

S.       14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

O.      God calls and sends Preachers to spread the gospel.

A.      I was called as a teenager to preach. The message is the same and will never change. Jesus is our Saviour, our Lord, our Healer and our soon coming King. Repent, take up your cross and follow Christ.

P.       Father; renew my calling today with joy, peace, love and healing. Amen.

Accountability

I depend on my fellow Christians. Their prayers, encouragement, fellowship and love carry me along on life's journey. I always have a friend to lean on, caring ears to listen to my problems, strong arms to lift when I fall and prayers to help me find the way. My church is a family to me. When a Family is very large it is impossible to interact with them all or even know them all. I have many cousins that I have never even meant on the larger side of my natural family. Unity should be a goal for every church. God's people, pulling together can do mighty works and at the same time aid each other along the journey.

3-11-2015      Romans 10:11-13

S.       11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

O.      Walls of social and political division are eliminated to those that believe.

A.      I see all Christians as one people no matter their nationality. Salvation unites us as one people.

    P.       Father; help me teach the unity of believers by living and preaching a good example. Amen. 

Perfection

The perfecting of the Saints is one reason the church exists. I know that most people don't believe in perfection on any level, but, I do! I believe this because the word speaks so often concerning perfection. The church is given five specific ministries; Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. These ministries are there to "perfect" God's church. Current church trends are moving more towards entertaining, political activism and recreational activities than transforming it's members into Holy Perfection.

3-10-2015      Romans 10:5-10

S.       5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. 6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) 7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.) 8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

O.      Conversion starts in the heart by believing that God raised Jesus from the dead and making verbal confession to that belief.

A.      I will confess my faith in every way possible. I will speak of his death, resurrection and his return. I will live a holy life by abstaining from sinful practices.

P.       Father; open my understanding and give me wisdom. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and reveal your word to me. Amen.

Big Churches or small churches?

Bigger is not always better. In our effort to build God's kingdom (the church) we have made many mistakes. The worst mistake of all is taking place now. Growing churches using a flawed model will lead to flawed churches. God's model always works so why change? We do not need bigger churches. We need smaller churches.........many, many more smaller churches. More on this subject in the days to come.......the Lord willing.

3-10-2015      Romans 10:1-4

S.       1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

O.      Israel’s efforts to be righteous, based on their interpretation of God’s law, has fallen short and so God replaced his first law with Grace.

A.      I will walk in God’s Grace and not dishonor the sacrifice made for me on Calvary. I will obey God’s word and submit to the Holy Spirit in whatever way he will lead.

    P.       Father; teach me the path of righteousness, the words, thoughts and deeds of holiness.                        Amen. 

Victory for TODAY

I plan a wonderful future each day. I look forward to the blessings, challenges and fellowship each day brings. I can do this because of my Faith in God. Be Happy and be Blessed.

3-7-2015         Romans 9:26-28

S.       26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God. 27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: 28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

O.      The difference between the righteous and the un-righteous is declared by God. Not all who are born are righteous.

A.      My righteousness must be footed in Jesus and not the tradition of men. I must be born of the Water and the Spirit and abandon all sin.

P.       Father; walk beside me and guide my steps. Amen.

3-8-2015         Romans 9:29-33

S.       29 And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodom, and been made like unto Gomorrha. 30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. 31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. 32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; 33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

O.      Jesus has been rejected by the Jews and this is why they are rejected by God.

A.      I must be pure before God. I must embrace Jesus and reject sin. I must live my life as an overcomer, servant and son of God. Then and only then am I a child of God.

P.       Father; I confess all my sin and I flee the habits of the flesh that you hate. I ask for forgiveness and pledge to live for you. Receive me into your arms and strengthen me with your spirit. Amen.

Shut up!

I so often hear preachers saying "Don't Judge" in one sentence and then listening to them tear apart someone or something in a judgmental way for the next half hour. The truth is that we must judge everything, and everybody, in order to make any decisions in life. I think we need to approach Judging from a different direction. Instead of foolishly jumping on the "Don't Judge" bandwagon we need to seek out wisdom and love to control our responses "after" we judge. I am persuaded that wisdom and love are in short supply. Wisdom is missing when we respond with the speed and power of a lightning bolt to our judgement. Love is missing when we verbalize our judgement. I will judge you, your actions and your motives. This is normal and it is not a sin. The sin happens when I fail to keep my judgments to myself and spew them out on others. God sends his Holy Spirit to indwell us. If we will but surrender to the leadership of this spirit, less hurt, separation and anger will result from our Judgement.

S.       19 Thou wilt say then unto me, why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? 20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

O.      God decides who will be his people based on mercy, not the nation of birth.

A.      I have been brought into a right standing with God by the blood of Jesus. I was not born into God’s grace, I was bought by sacrifice.

P.       Father; grant me wisdom to live a life that is pleasing to you. Grant me strength of will to overcome my fleshly desires that are an insult to your sacrifice. Fill me with love and compassion for all people. Amen.

Angry

I am angry today! Angry about all the suffering I see around me. I am declaring WAR! I know that many of my suffering friends are not worthy of the pain and difficulty s that they are in. It must be the attack of satan. God's word tells me that I have authority over him. Sound the trumpet, assemble the army, set the strategy and let's march into the camp of the enemy and take back the things that are already ours; HEALING, PROSPERITY, JOY, PEACE, FELLOWSHIP AND POWER!

3-3-2015         Romans 8:35-39

S.       35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come.39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

O.      Paul’s declaration about the strength of God’s love.

A.      I must not worry and doubt. God will love me and keep me and go with me through every trial and test of life.

    P.       Father; thank you for loving me, even before I ever knew you. Amen. 

Jesus speaks in my behalf

This will be a busy week. Every day is filled with appointments and many other people will be depending on me. I need strength to get through. Help me Lord.......

3-2-2015         Romans 8:33-34

S.       33Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.34Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

O.      Jesus is our intercessor before God.

A.      I have a mediator at the throne of God, his name is Jesus, he knows and understands all my troubles and weaknesses.

P.       Father; lift me up high enough to see over the problems of this day. Heal my mind of worry and guide me to someone that I can help. Amen.

Church CLOSED......due to ice.

Ice is keeping me in today. Safety is more important to me than any other consideration today. There will be NO SERVICE this morning. I will wait until later in the day to decide about tonight's services. Please stay off the ice and pray for each other.

3-1-2015         Romans 8:32

S.       32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

O.      All things are from God through his son Jesus.

A.      Anything I need I can have through my Saviour, Jesus. Not just the earthly things like a house, car, food but the heavenly things; faith, grace, peace, joy and love. All that I need to liv a holy life are mine.

    P.       Father; I am grateful for your abundant love, mercy and grace. Make me the man that you                want me to be. I surrender my will unto you. Amen.
