God's Broken Heart

God is weeping over America. This is not a God fearing country any more (if it ever was). Man's law is perverted. The freedom we brag about is only a sham and disgrace. We are under multiple dictators all hiding behind judicial robes and political position, immoral self proclaimed leaders, enemy's of freedom and fairness. God will hold each of these judges and politicians accountable. "To whom much is given, much is required". I pray for these poor, deceived souls........for the night comes.

7-1-2015         Luke 6:20

S.       20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

O.      God’s kingdom is for all!

A.      Poverty is not a socioeconomic factor in God’s kingdom. All people have the same standing, love and opportunity to overcome sin and enjoy rich fellowship.

P.       Father; help me teach what real poverty is to this up side world. How that money has little to do with poverty. I am thankful to be your son and enjoy rich fellowship. Help me to encourage everyone I meet. Amen.

Open Heart Surgery

We live each moment only a heartbeat away from eternity. Yesterday a wonderful friend from church received open heart surgery. Waiting for the Doctor to come and give us a report made me to think about the possible outcomes and how quickly our lives change and how close we live to death each day. (my friend is fine)  I must keep this thought before me more often and relish the moments and people I love.

S.O.A.P.

2-12-2015      Romans 7:7-9

S.       What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. 9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

O.      The law reveals sin to mankind and declares him guilty.

A.      God reveals sin to me to liberate me from its consequences not for grounds to punish me!

P.       Father; I am not blind to sin because of your Grace. Thank you for loving me before I even knew you. Help me share this love with some hurting soul today. Amen.

2-13-2015      Romans 7:10-11

S.       And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

O.      Sin overcomes, under the law, and leads to death.

A.      God holds man accountable to the law once the law is revealed. If I know the right way to live and refuse to do so I am guilty and deserve to be punished. I am my own judge and jury.

     P.       Father; open my eyes to all my sin that I may repent, change direction and walk fully in                    your will. Amen.

Retirement....To Be Or Not To Be

New directions in life are just ahead for me. I have retired from my secular employment and will be able to devote more time to the ministry and to my beautiful wife and family. I plan on doing some traveling in my old car. My end may be nearer than before but I plan on enjoying every last day.

12-10-2014    Mark 13:3-8

S.       3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, 4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? 5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: 6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. 8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

O.      Jesus tells of the end of time and the attitude that his followers should have about it.

A.      I shall not fear the end of time. I am diligently following all that I have learned about faith in Jesus Christ. I am open and seeking a better understanding and relationship with God. I will not live in fear!

P.       Father; I want to know you as much, as deeply, as is possible while I am confined in this human shell. Draw me nearer to you this day and fill me completely. Amen.
