Evil must be Stopped!

Speak out all you that call yourself Christian. Speak out in your prayer closet. Speak out before your family. Speak out to your neighbor. speak out in the market.Speak out to your elected officials. Speak out to the world.
Tell of the excellence of our our Saviour. Tell of the plan of salvation and our deliverance from sin. Tell of the risen Jesus. Tell of the soon return to redeem the watching and prepared bride. Tell of the splendor of Heaven.
We must also speak out about the evil that is here. The evil that is killing, destroying and robbing man of his opportunity to receive grace. The evil deeds in racial disorder. The evil deeds in political maneuvering. The evil deeds in religious trappings. The evil deeds in family relationships. The evil in the silence of many.
Evil is just as real as the God in whom we trust. Speak up Christian!

7-20-2015      Luke 6:45

S.       A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

O.      The source of a man’s words.

A.      I must speak as a good man. My heart must be good. Only God can create in me a good heart.

    P.       Father; cleans me from sin and create in me a pure heart that I speak good things. Amen.

Recovery

Recovery is a slow and painful process. In our bodies we have scares and deformities from the tragedy's so common to living. We adapt, replace, repair, implant and then go on. Often the pace is slowed, steps are short and less is accomplished each day.......but we keep going. I often wonder why we don't apply the same determination to our spiritual lives. Something goes wrong at church and we quit. Someone we look up to fails, we quit. Spiritual recovery is a slow process just like physical recovery is slow. We should apply some of the same tactics to our spiritual renewal.......and KEEP GOING ON FOR GOD.

11-14-2014    Mark 9:33-37
S.       33 And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way? 34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest. 35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. 36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, 37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
O.      Jesus explains to his disciples how greatness is defined within his kingdom.
A.      Serving is a privilege that all followers of Jesus should seek to accomplish. In this world of competition, self-glory, dog eat dog, ladder climbing and greed the concept of serving is lost or at best belittled. Christians can bear great witness of faith by serving others out of a grateful heart.
P.       Father; I do not seek to be great, or famous. I seek to have the heart of a servant lead by the mind of Christ. Please remake my heart to be more like Jesus. Amen.

Fake Christians

Pushing myself today to get started. This is my pattern more and more. The bones are tired from all the stress and labor. Some would say; Get more exercise, eat the right foods and you will feel better. It's not my body that is slow to get started, it's my heart (soul). With all this murder and war, lazy president, stupid politicians and Christians that don't have a clue.......I am wearing out. I pray, I visit, I pray, I preach and teach, I pray, I wright, I pray. Wake up Christians......If you are sinning you are NOT GOD'S CHILD! You must ACT like your farther. If you are ACTING like satan (I never capitalize that wicked name) then he must be your father.

"You ARE what you DO, you DO what you ARE"!

10-4-2014      Mark 4:13-20
S.       13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?14 The sower soweth the word.15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
O.      Jesus gives three examples of how people receive the word of God.
A.      I will prepare myself to receive the word and be a fruitful servant. I will keep my heart and mind fixed in the word of God; I will share the truth with as many others as I can. I will confess my sin and seek to change any aspect of my life, that I will be obedient to my Lord.
P.       Father; I am weak and feeble and I need your help. Direct my path and speak your will into my heart. Amen.

Sabbath

9-22-2014      Mark 2:23-28
S.       23 And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
O.      Jesus explains why the Sabbath was established.
A.      I will honor the Sabbath and keep my covenant with God.

P.       Father; direct my path, fill my heart and teach me your plan for the Sabbath. Amen.

Being Judged?

Why are people so afraid of being Judged? What could be so evil or dangerous living inside folks that they have a phobia of it being brought to light? I welcome judgement, in fact, I judge myself every day. I judge that I am useless and ignorant and need God to aid me in every aspect of life. If God is powerful enough to erase my sin and clean my record at an alter of repentance then he is powerful enough to keep me holy! I will put my life in his hands, trust his advice, obey his commands and with his help thrive. Only people with something to hide are afraid of being judged.

9-16-2014      Mark 2:1-4
S.       1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
O.      As Jesus is preaching to a crowded houseful four men brought a sick man to be healed. The house was too full to enter so the men opened the roof and lowered the sick man down to where Jesus was preaching.
A.      Extra effort may be required to bring people into the presence of Jesus. We must be willing to press on and overcome any obstacles.
P.       Father; strengthen my resolve and undergird my tenacity to overcome. Reveal the alternate methods that I might use to reach people in difficult circumstances and lead them to you. Amen.

Quit Fighting with God!

Is it possible to have peace in this world? Can one ever truly learn to love his fellow man? Will we use all our learning and science to destroy hunger and sickness? Probably Not! We are too selfish and want everything to work in our favor. Jesus came and lived a pure, holy life as an example to us of how to live in peace, joy and love. Only when we surrender our will to God can we find true peace. Time for you to choose.

9-12-2014      Mark 1:2934
S.       29 And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.30 But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
O.      Jesus heals Simon’s mother and many others. He also commanded devils to come out of people and did not let the devils speak.
A.      Jesus will heal today as he healed when he walked as a man on earth. I believe in the healing touch of Jesus. God still gives power to cast out satan and his demons. Through faith in Jesus I will pray and believe for this power.
P.       Father; use me today to declare your authority over sickness and sin. Heal through my faith and stop the mouth of devils for your children. Amen.
